How I Travel from Clark International Airport to NAIA 3 Airport
November 2, 2012 Manila

As promised earlier on How to Travel from Clark Airport to Manila at Midnight, I shall now narrate the hurdles faced to go to Manila NAIA 3 Airport.

My flight was delayed for almost an hour, we reached Clark International Airport at about 12.00a.m. My flight coincided with Asiana Airlines from Incheon and thanks to ‘efficient’ immigration counter meant for foreign nationals, it took us about an hour to get clearance to enter the Philippines. With two flights coming from Malaysia and Incheon at the same time, only one counter was opened that night. We snail-moved until it occurred to the immigration officers that more counters should be opened. This is among poor managements I encountered in Clark International Airport. It is also worth to mention here that the space for immigration counters was so crowded even for 2 flights coming in at the same time.

As it was already late, no bus was in sight. I decided to sleep over at the airport arrival hall, later to join some travelers who found comfort sleeping on the seats and determine to hop on the first bus to Manila that very morning. Apparently to our surprise, the only bus services available is provided by Philtranco whose first bus departs from Clark International Airport at 11.30a.m. No way, our flight to Busuanga from NAIA 3 was scheduled at 12.50p.m.

So this is how I made it to Manila NAIA 3 Airport:-

1. Walk 450m from the terminal to the main road and hail down a jeepney. An empty jeepney stopped and offered us PHP200/2 person to the Main gate from where we had to take tricycle. He then added we have to pay extra PHP100 if we want to be dropped at Dau Terminal from where we would take a bus to Pasay. We agreed on the latter and paid him PHP300 for 2 person. PHP150/PAX. (20-30 minutes ride)

2. Take the bus to Pasay City for PHP 150/PAX. The name of the bus we took was Five Star Bus. It’s air-conditioned and very comfortable. (1-2 hours depending on traffic)

3. Take the taxi to NAIA3 for PHP100/PAX. (15-20 minutes)

The costs incurred to go to Manila NAIA3 from Clark International Airport is PHP450/PAX equivalent to MYR33.75.

  3. nice journey man, you feel very comfort in air condition buss service. but i would like to say that you should hire a luxury and affordable airport taxi service.
