The notable eco-tourism concept of Sentosa Villa is what set this resort apart from the modern hotels in Taiping.
There are two types of accomodation at Sentosa Villa – chalets and hotel. Near the hotel rooms, there is a pond which props the beautiful landscape. Downward, the honeymoon villa and the family villa face the river. The sounds of the streaming water from the river bring us back to the nature. I could now imagine myself waking up one morning from the villa to the fresh air of Banjaran Titiwangsa and the sound of the stream! Now, that is definitely a perfect vacation.
As I walked further on the pathway, I came across huts by the river for the guests to rest and relax. In the hut, there is a wooden arm chair facing the river. Lovely setting! In the weather of Taiping, I don’t mind rocking the chair while absorbing the nature day and night.
The food at Sentosa Villa is really good. Among the best for the whole trip of DiscoverPerak2013.
The room rate is affordable ranging from RM148(hotel-superior room) to RM588(bungalow for 8 pax). We were brought to Honeymoon Villa for room review. Romantically set in Balinese mode with Balinese wooden furniture, the room is definitely to go after for a newly-married couple. The staff were very friendly too! Having been to Taiping on numerous business trips, I regretted not having found this villa much earlier.
Sentosa Villa used to be an orchad. There are fruit trees at the villa and the guests are free to pluck and eat the fruits. As we walked around Sentosa Villa, I noticed there were durian trees, mangosteen trees, jambu trees, mango trees etc. Asked whether guests are allowed to eat durians and mangosteens in the rooms, the answer is affirmative. Yes, guests can eat durians and mangosteens in the rooms at Sentosa Villa.
Not only that you would be able to enjoy the tranquil living at Sentosa Villa, there are activities around Sentosa Villa that you can engage yourself with. There are darts area, jogging trail, jungle trekking, nature stream and pool and sauna. Well, if that’s not enough for you, you can always go to the Maxwell Hill which is only 15 minutes from Sentosa Villa.
The only setback for internet addicts, the wifi is only available at the lobby and reception area.
All in all, we walked out from Sentosa Villa wishing that we could have a night spent there. I definitely need to come back for a weekend stay at Sentosa Villa.
