After a quick tour around Lukomir Village, we started to trek to Umoljani Village where our van would be waiting for us. The whole journey of the trekking was approximately 4 hours. It was an easy trail whereby we walked on a flat terrain with less hilly surface. The trail was clearly marked. But there is no way you would be able to do the trekking on your own because the distance of the village from the city; atleast not on your first trip to this pristine mountain terrain in Bosnia.
The mountain path led us to the edge of Rakitnica Canyon.
Another group did a reverse trekking from Umoljani to Lukomir.
There was a tombstone in the middle of nowhere.
Ascending the rocky surface for better view of the canyon.
STUDENI POTOK (COLD CREEK)
We were told that we would pass a cold creek. But we were not in the season for a good view of the creek as in the summer, the water dries up.
As we neared the Gradina village, more and more beautiful landscapes appeared. I bumped into local women who were doing their chores.
One of the traditional houses in Umoljani. Shingles roof.
I’d love to have this view in my garden.
I took longer than the rest to complete the trekking as I could not help but make many stops and enjoy the breathtaking view of the mountains. Although the journey is quite expensive, I really enjoy every bit of it. I hope one day I would be able to hike Blejasnica again. Only this time, I’d pitch a tent and be a wilding!

Assalamualaikum.
Farah cantiknya tempat ni. Kos ke sini dari Malaysia anggaran berapa ye? Sebab memang minat trekking ni.
Ingat nak ke Nepal atau Pakistan tapi keadaan politik macam tak berapa memberangsangkan. Lepas tengok gambar-gambar ni rasa Bosnia is a very good alternative.
Dan lama ke planning untuk ke sini?
Soalan tanya pasal flight ke? Flight dalam RM3,000 – RM3,500 dengan transit di Istanbul. Activity booking dari sini sebab dia nak atleast 4 orang. So dia boleh open trip kepada orang lain. Ni tour yang saya ambil utk trekking. Kalau nak trekking saya suggest Croatia, Albania and Slovenia. http://www.sarajevofunkytours.com/en/tours/30/bbjelasnica-olympic-mt-umoljani-lukomir-hiking-tourbbrfull-day-tour-of-amazing-hiking-near-sarajevo.html
Oh terima kasih banyak.
