An hour journey from Kuala Lumpur, Melaka is a recommended day trip destination for those who do not have aplenty time to spend in Malaysia. Apart from doing the standard Melaka Heritage Walk, you may want to experience Melaka from a different view by taking a trishaw ride around Melaka. The trishaw will bring you to the streets that you might miss out if you walk around on your own.
Unlike the trishaws from other places, the trishaws of Melaka are heavily decorated with flowers and equipped with sound system. Some over-decorate the trishaws that they look unnecessarily overloaded. The trishaw cyclers range from 15-60 years old. For each trishaw, it could only fit 2 people at one time. The trishaw can be rented on hourly basis with the standard rate of RM40.00 per hour.
As and when you want to stop for photography, you can always ask the trishaw cyclers to stop. Trishaw ride is recommended to those with kids and those who have the tendency to suffer from sun heat given the hot weather of Melaka.
