Where: Brahmavihara-Arama located in the village of Banjar; southwest of Lovina, Bali.
The meditation centre amidst slope of mountains and green paddy fields is known worldwide amongst Buddhist visitors.
Although it attracts less tourists as compared to Uluwatu Temple and Tanah Lot, the monastery with its unique Balinese Hinduism elements still serves as place for praying, worshipping and meditating for the Buddhist communities in north Bali.
The monastery is not a tourist area, no entrance fee is charged but you are compelled to make some donations at the entrance gate. You are also required to wear sarong inside the monastery.

“wear sarong inside the monastery” – is is applied to all ? or just foreigner / local people only ?
For entrance to Brahmavihara, you may enter with pants. To go inside the monastery where the monks pray, you need to wear sarong. Usually the prayer room would be located inside the building, sometimes located underground. So if your sole purpose is to tour around, pants will do.
