So I thought I should share how clean the toilet at the camp site was.

It was the last day of Fjallraven Classic Denmark 2019 with 25km to the trail end at Bjørnemose Gods. Bjørnemose Gods was a different venue from the previous years.
My trekker’s pass read:
“On the east side of Svenborgsundbroen you reach Svenborg Harbour and the oldest part of Svvenborg. From here you will walk through Christiansminde and the Weber Area. The last part brings you to Hallingskov South of the forest you can glimpse Bjørnemose Gods.”
For the first few hours of the trail, we saw few cattle grazing the grass on the field. The calf was the most adorable thing I had seen on that day. It was a hairy species compared to what we have in Malaysia for the cattle in Scandinavian countries must survive the winter months.
Egebjerg Molle Naturrum
We entered the rolling plains of Egebjerg Bakker (Hills). The view from Egebjerg was nothing but breathtaking.

After 1 hour of walk, we reached the Egebjerg Molle Naturrum (Egebjerg Mill Nature Space) where a pleasant surprise awaited us. Ice-cream! We climbed up the Egebjerg Molle Naturrum and sat near its circular edge enjoying the panoramic view of the surrounding Egebjerg Bakker. It helped to relax our near-blistered toes too!
After leaving Egebjerg Molle Naturrum for about 2.5 miles, the sugar- high Farah realized that she forgot to take her Leki trekking pole. Leki is one of the most expensive trekking pole I had invested. So my heart crushed in that very moment. Surprisingly, Hadi offered to walk back to retrieve my trekking pole.
Before leaving us, he asked us to continue walking and he would catch up with us. We decided to wait for him at 55km. I didn’t remember how long we waited for him. But when he reached us, he told us that the event volunteer had taken my trekking pole to the finishing line. Everything from here onward happened in fast forward mode. Imagine when the landscape was stunning and one of you kept rushing the pack for we were the last trekkers on the trail.

After our brief yet memorable photography session, my friends trekked faster than what I could follow. More and more people stopped to treat their hot-spots and blisters. As the blister pain loomed, Hadi sped up his pace. When Ali and Berry stopped to treat their blisters, I continued walking only to stop 500m ahead. I, too, had grown a huge patch of hot-spot on my sole.
I walked alone through the rich people’s neighborhood until the bridge where I met my friends again and ate lunch together. From mansion to a small bungalow, each house had a jetty where their yacht docked. While walking, I could see through the windows and admired the Scandinavian interior design. Not sure why but it seemed like using curtains and blinds was not a norm.

Almost There!
We re-grouped again near a lake and although it was less than 5km more to go. It felt so faraway. Hadi bought an ice-cream and we followed the trail mark until we reached the trail end, Bjornemose Gods. Bjornemose Gods is a manor built in 1745 – 1756, using materials from the medieval fortress of Orkild.
Fjallraven Classic Denmark 2019 – The Celebration
As we neared the trail end, a group of volunteers lined up and cheered on us. They clapped their hands to celebrate us. The champions of 75km Fjallraven Classic Denmark 2019. My exhaustion was completely erased by this time. I reclaimed my trekking pole and took the mandatory pictures at the finishing line.

Everyone was in the mood for celebration. Some cleaned up before the party began. There was a paid buffet dinner but I opted not to have it because of my diet restriction. Plenty of vendors opened their respective stalls. The souvenir stall from the 1st day was back. Hanwag offered to clean up hiking shoes and Fjallraven would assist in mending your Fjallraven gears.
I took the opportunity to ask about the stain on my Fjallraven Kaipak 58 W. I had been using the Kaipak 58 for expeditions in densed forest of Malaysia and some parts of Indonesia for the past 9 months. I had some black stain on the backpack that couldn’t be removed. It had started to become an eyesore. A Fjallraven product consultant told me my backpack looked like a seasoned backpack and Fjallraven is made to withstand the extremity. She said I should not be bothered about the stain. The celebration continued with lucky draw as Hadi won Fjallraven Keb 52 backpack.
Before dark, we took our backpacks to the campsite to pitch our tents and prepared our dinner before calling it a day. We took the mid-day train back to Copenhagen on the next day.
